As a Communication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of REDpreneur іn the Ukrainian Red Cross Society’s communication initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact and bring valuable assistance to the Ukrainian people. You will be responsible for coordinating and creating persuasive content of the project REDpreneur. By utilizing your exceptional communication skills and strategic thinking, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the REDpreneur content, promoting its mission, and building strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the public.

Success Indicators:

• Impactful Content Performance: The success of the Communication Specialist can be evaluated based on high-quality content, such as articles, blog posts, newsletters, and multimedia materials, that engage the audience and effectively communicate the organization’s key messages and achievements.
• Positive Feedback: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, donors, and community members, to foster collaboration and support for the REDpreneur.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: A successful Communication Specialist will collaborate effectively with the other departments, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.

Essential Tasks:

• Develop Communication Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with main goals, ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation.

• Content Creation: Produce compelling and persuasive content for various campaigns, including email appeals, social media posts, website content, case studies, success stories, and event materials. Ensure the timely preparation of communicational products related to REDpreneur, such as news articles, digests, positional papers, communication briefings, and narratives.
• Brand Messaging: Ensure all communication materials adhere to the organization’s brand guidelines and values, maintaining a cohesive and compelling brand image.
• Communication Analysis: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts using data and metrics, providing insights to improve future communication strategies.
• · Report Presentation: Prepare comprehensive reports to relevant stakeholders, including team members and management and donors.
• Trends and Benchmarks: Stay updated with industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices in communication and reporting, adopting innovative approaches to measure success.

Requirements

• Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or international policies
• At least 3 years of experience working in communications, with or for the media, social media or similar
• Ability to produce a range of compelling communications content from the field (such as news stories, social media content and AV materials)
• Team player with high level of independence
• Experience in building and maintaining media relations and contacts
• Experience in emergency response
• Red Cross and Red Crescent experience
• Knowledge of humanitarian affairs
• Photography, design, or video editing skills
• Demonstrated understanding and use of social media for communications
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Analytical skills
• Frequent travel to the fields
• Fluently spoken and written English
• Ukrainian — Full Professional Proficiency
