Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordination and fulfillment of various localization tasks.
    • Working with Crowdin (localization management platform), Gengo.
    • Working with translation service providers: Allcorrect and freelancers from our pool of translators.
    • Maintain localization projects (usually around 10 languages).
    • Working closely with different departments, mainly ASO, Marketing, Product and Project Managers.
    • Assist in the search and selection of freelancers if necessary.
    • Monitor translation quality, and coordinate or perform formatting and text checking before implementation.
    • Collaboration with development, QA, design, and other teams to ensure that localization is considered during the app creation phase.
    • Ensure localized versions are consistent with the design and user experience.
    • Manage translation databases, glossaries, localization standards, and other resources required to work effectively.
    • Monitor project deadlines and budgets, control localization costs, and streamline processes to improve work efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Advanced English;
    • Work experience as a Localization Manager, Translator/Interpreter, or in a similar role;
    • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines;
    • Linguistic and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to adapt content to suit regional preferences and market demands;
    • Previous experience as a translator or a degree in linguistics/ translation/ teaching of the English language & other foreign languages.
    • Experience in coordinating and collaborating with translators, proofreaders, and external localization vendors;
    • Strong interest in working with foreign languages, and understanding the specificities of this process;
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy and consistency in localized content;
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve localization issues or challenges;
    • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and localization advancements.

    Nice-to-haves:

    • Knowledge of other foreign languages — is a big plus
    • Familiarity with software localization file formats, such as XML, XLIFF, and JSON;
    • Familiarity with localization management platforms, such as Crowdin, Smartling, Smartcat, Localizejs, or any other;
    • Flexibility, the ability to quickly reorganize and respond to tasks of varying levels of complexity and urgency.
