Job description

We at Helicon are looking for a Lead Generation Specialist who’s ready to help us expand our client base and evolve our outreach strategy. Your initial focus will be on Upwork, but we’re open to new channels like LinkedIn, Clutch, and Twitter—if you have ideas, we want to hear them.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys exploring new ways to connect with clients, knows how to spot a good opportunity, and can spark meaningful conversations that lead to long-term collaborations. Currently part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor new job postings & projects on Upwork that align with Helicon’s target audience.
  • Communicate with potential clients via Upwork and build strong first impressions.
  • Track success rates of submitted proposals and analyze patterns in rejections or lack of response to improve strategy.
  • Use GigRadar to automate the search for relevant projects and potential clients.
  • Keep the Helicon company profile polished, relevant, and attractive.
  • Collaborate with the team to test and implement new client acquisition strategies on platforms like Clutch, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Qualifications:

  • The ability to quickly and effectively evaluate projects and client profiles, identifying the most lucrative and relevant opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can confidently represent our company and build trust with clients from the first message.
  • Organizational skills — you’re able to juggle multiple requests, tasks, and priorities without missing a beat.
  • Platform expertise — a deep understanding of how Upwork operates, including its rules, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Commitment to staying updated on Upwork algorithm changes and trends to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Proven Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.

Nice to have:

  • A basic understanding of iOS development or mobile app terminology.
  • Experience in SMM (social media marketing).
  • Hands-on with other lead generation platforms and automation tools.
