Accountant Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant Specialist to manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of customer accounts, maintain payment workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues efficiently.

Details:

• Work Schedule: Full-time (Approximately 40 hours/week), Monday to Friday
• Flexible start time between 13:00 and 16:00 (Kyiv Time)
• Work hours ending between 21:00 and 00:00 (Kyiv Time)
• Location: Remote (Kyiv Time Zone working hours) | Based in Chicago, IL, USA

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Monitor payments, ensuring they are properly applied to the correct accounts.
• Generate account statements and support account reconciliation efforts. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or issues.
• Communicate with customers to address billing inquiries and resolve concerns.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all invoicing and payment activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer payment challenges.
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting initiatives.
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including AP and AR management and general ledger entries.
• Contribute to improving accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry in the U.S. is preferred.
• Skilled in using accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
