Safety Manager US trucking market

American trucking company operating on the US trucking market is currently recruiting Safety/Logbook Manager. Responsibilities:

• Ensure all driver documents are complete and valid before dispatch.
• Monitor driver logbooks and HOS (Hours of Service) compliance.
• Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs as required by DOT.
• Handle safety-related paperwork (permits, insurance, IFTA, UCR, etc.).
• Conduct basic driver safety training and track progress.
• Support the investigation and reporting of accidents or violations.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in transportation safety (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Experience managing driver qualification files and safety programs.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills with drivers, management, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Proficiency with safety management software (or willingness to learn).
