Head of Credit Department

«VISIONFUND UKRAINE» LLC is licensed by the National Bank of Ukraine as a non-banking financial institution in Ukraine to address the unmet financing needs of micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the ongoing conflict. This initiative aims to strengthen livelihoods, enhance economic recovery, and provide targeted support and access to finance to displaced Ukrainians and struggling business owners.

We are seeking a dynamic manager with extensive experience in the credit or financial services sector to lead business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business strategy development and a deep understanding of digital solutions. This role involves working with micro and small businesses, driving growth and creating opportunities for income generation. In addition to client service and loan processing, the position includes client outreach and engagement.

• Frequent travel within Ukraine.

Main Responsibilities:

Leading the Credit Business:

• Implement and monitor credit strategy in line with the approved Business Plan.
• Set performance targets for the credit team and ensure branches meet goals.
• Evaluate credit operations, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
• Update and implement credit policies, manuals, and procedures in line with Ukrainian law and VisionFund International (VFI) standards.
• Ensure audit recommendations are addressed and promote transparent communication across departments.
• Oversee reporting on portfolio quality, risk, and compliance.

Product and Service Development:

• Monitor market trends and recommend new or adjusted credit products.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop campaigns and educational materials for clients.
• Manage product testing (pilots) and improvements based on field and client feedback.
• Support strategic business growth through innovation in products and services.

Digital Transformation and IT Collaboration:

• Work with IT to define and enhance credit-related systems (CRM, dashboards, etc.).
• Promote digitization of credit processes to increase efficiency and compliance.
• Align system development with field operations and data protection standards.

Senior leadership:

Member of Senior Management Team, Credit Comittee

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration;
2. Work experience of at least 8 years, of which at least 3 years in microfinance or retail banking;
3. Knowledge of Ukrainian legislation on lending;
4. Highly proficient user of MS office software (ideally with experience of financial systems);
5. Advanced level of communication, sales and customer service skills;
6. People oriented and results focused with a commitment to social impact;
7. Fluency in both Ukrainian and English.
