AS400/RPG Engineer

We are currently supporting a new client with their AS400 modernization efforts. To drive this transformation, the company is seeking experienced AS400/RPG Engineers to enhance legacy applications, refactor existing code, and integrate modern solutions that will improve efficiency and enable future growth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing AS400/RPG applications
• Refactor legacy RPG III/IV code into ILE or Free‑format RPG
• Develop service programs, modules, and reusable components
• Participate in design and planning sessions for system modernization
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and DevOps teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience on the IBM i (AS400/iSeries) platform
• Strong hands‑on expertise with RPG (III, IV, Free), CL, and DB2/400
• Familiarity with modular programming and service programs
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams and support modernization projects
• Good English communication skills for technical discussions and documentation
