Grant, Partnerships Manager

Опис вакансії

About Gen.Ukrainian

Gen.Ukrainian is an independent Ukrainian NGO working since 2022 to improve mental health, wellbeing, and long-term recovery for children and adolescents affected by war.

Our work combines direct support, research, professional education, and the development of evidence-based approaches that can be integrated into education, healthcare, and social systems.

We work with Ukrainian and international experts, academic institutions, donors, and public partners to turn practical experience into solutions that can be scaled and contribute to systemic change.

About the role

We are looking for a Grants Manager to own the full grant cycle across our active portfolio and new funding opportunities.

The role combines grant management, donor reporting, opportunity assessment, and grant writing. You will work closely with the Head of Partnerships, programme and finance teams.

What you will do

  • Manage the full grant cycle, from opportunity assessment and application to reporting and close-out.
  • Monitor relevant funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of potential funders.
  • Assess donor priorities, eligibility criteria, and fit with Gen.Ukrainian programmes.
  • Prepare grant applications and donor reports in English and Ukrainian.
  • Work with programme and finance teams on project concepts, budgets, and supporting documents.
  • Manage donor requirements, reporting deadlines, amendments, audits, and due diligence.
  • Review grant agreements and identify potential risks or compliance issues.
  • Track grant performance, including deliverables, spending, and reporting obligations.
  • Maintain accurate grant records and internal tracking systems.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • 2+ years of experience in grants management, grant writing, donor-funded project management, or a closely related role.
  • Hands-on experience preparing grant applications and donor reports.
  • Experience analysing donor requirements, eligibility criteria, and funding priorities.
  • Strong written English. You should be comfortable drafting grant applications, donor reports, and professional correspondence independently.
  • Confidence working with budgets and financial information.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to manage several deadlines and processes at the same time.
  • Ability to structure information, identify risks, and define next steps.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with institutional donors or international foundations.
  • Experience supporting audits or donor compliance processes.
  • Experience with CRM or project management systems.
  • Experience in mental health, MHPSS, education, child protection, or related sectors.

What we offer

  • A full-time role with Gen.Ukrainian.
  • [Kyiv / hybrid / remote].
  • [Contract type].
  • [Compensation range].
  • Paid leave.
  • Professional development and learning opportunities.
  • Direct work with international donors and partners.
  • A high level of ownership over your area of work.
  • Opportunity to build and improve grant management systems and processes as the organisation grows.
