Fleet Specialist (PTI) US logistics

Terms: Full-time

Working hours: 15:00 to 01:00 Kyiv time Mon-Fri

Skills:

• Experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related trucking industry role is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance standards, and safety compliance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with drivers and other team members.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately review inspection photos and reports.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Pre-Trip Inspection Review:

Review and verify pre-trip inspection reports and supporting photos submitted by drivers to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition prior to departure. Identify any discrepancies or potential safety concerns and take appropriate action. Maintain daily communication with newly hired drivers through a dedicated focus group to ensure their compliance and understanding of inspection procedures. Monitor and follow up on pre-trip inspections for drivers currently marked as out of service to support timely resolution and readiness.

● Driver Communication: Maintain daily communication with newly hired drivers as part of a focused support group to ensure compliance and understanding of inspection procedures. Address any maintenance or safety issues as they arise to prevent OOS conditions.

● Preventive Maintenance: Monitor the condition of trucks and trailers to prevent vehicles from going OOS. Work closely with the maintenance team to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns or service interruptions.

● Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports summarizing the status of fleet inspections, discrepancies identified, corrective actions taken, and overall vehicle performance. Maintain detailed and accurate records for auditing and compliance purposes. Report instances of drivers failing to complete pre-trip inspections, including associated charges, to the Accounting Department and Fleet Manager for appropriate follow-up.

● Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all equipment meets federal and state safety regulations and company standards. Track and document all inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and other regulatory requirements.
