EMERGENCY is an independent, neutral and non-political Italian organization that provides free, high quality medical and surgical treatment to the victims of war, landmines and poverty. EMERGENCY promotes a culture of peace, solidarity and respect for human rights. Since its foundation in 1994, EMERGENCY has treated over 12 million people in 20 countries and currently operates in Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Italy, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda and in the Mediterranean Sea. EMERGENCY is supporting Primary Health Care in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, since 2024.
