Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Off-Page SEO & Backlink Specialist to manage and execute local backlink acquisition and link profile maintenance across our client portfolio.

You will be responsible for researching hyper-local link opportunities, executing outreach campaigns, monitoring domain authority, and actively managing backlink toxicity. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who understands modern search algorithms (Google SpamBrain, Link Spam updates) and knows how to build real authority for local businesses.

Responsibilities

• Local Link Acquisition: Execute manual, high-ROI outreach campaigns to acquire hyper-local and niche-relevant backlinks (e.g., local press, community partnerships, sponsorships, unlinked brand mentions, local resource pages, and regional business directories).
• Competitor Backlink Analysis: Use Ahrefs and Semrush to analyze competitor link profiles, identify link gaps, and reverse-engineer successful local strategies.
• Link Health & Toxicity Monitoring: Audit backlink profiles regularly using Semrush Backlink Audit and Ahrefs to identify spammy, toxic, or low-quality links, preparing disavow files when necessary.
• Prospecting & Outreach Management: Build clean prospect lists, find verified contact details, and craft personalized, high-converting outreach email sequences.
• Anchor Text & Velocity Strategy: Plan and track anchor text diversity and link velocity to ensure natural, penalty-proof profile growth.
• Reporting & Tracking: Maintain transparent monthly backlink logs and provide clear reporting on acquired links, active pipeline, and overall link profile health.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2−3 years of hands-on experience in off-page SEO, digital PR, or local link building.
• Tool Proficiency: Advanced expertise with Ahrefs and Semrush (specifically Backlink Analytics, Link Intersect, and Backlink Audit tools).
• Local SEO Knowledge: Clear understanding of how local backlinks impact Map Pack (GMB/GBP) rankings and localized organic search.
• White-Hat Philosophy: Strict reliance on manual outreach and genuine relationship-building. Zero tolerance for PBNs, automated spam blasts, or cheap link seller lists.
• Communication: Excellent written English skills for crafting persuasive outreach emails and communicating with site editors/business owners.
• Self-Motivated: Strong organizational skills to independently manage multiple client campaigns in a remote environment.
